Nino was born in Dusseldorf in 1954 but grew up in the UK. He had brief working experiences as a gallery assistant in London and Paris and worked for a TV production company and as a fashion photographer's assistant in London - before turning full time to painting in 1977.
From 1980 he lived in Italy and in 2000 he moved with his wife Judy and their two sons Cosmo and Toto, to Northern NSW, Australia.
Nino has exhibited widely in Europe and Australia, although his work remains relatively unknown beyond a small circle of friends and supporters.
